Interests

Hand Knited Handspun Scarf

Along with my photography, I also enjoy visiting numerous zoos, nature preserves, gardens, and state parks within a 3-hour drive of where I live. Some of my favorite places include Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, Lindenwood Nature Preserve, Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory, Allen County Extension Office, Lake Side Rose Garden, Chain O' Lakes State Park, Potawatomi Zoo, Binder Park Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo, Butterfly House, Louisville Zoo, among others.

In my spare time, I love to dabble in other arts such as drawing, sculpture, painting, woodworking, and fiber arts. In the fall of 2006, my friend Leslie taught me how to knit and now fiber arts takes up quite a bit of my spare time if and when I have it. Recently I've been doing more spinning than knitting and occasionally I needle felt sculptures. I am currently part of "the Stitchery" which is a club created by Leslie for anyone who enjoys fiber arts.

While at home, I am normally tending to my numerous pets including 3 cats, 2 Shiba Inus, 4 toads, and an African Grey Timna. Ever since I was little, I've always had pets. They are like family to me and I can't imagine living without having pets.
